Blue Lotus Gallery proudly presents Japanese photographer Yashuhiro Ogawa’s debut exhibition in Hong Kong. Some 20 handmade dark room prints from his latest photography book: ‘The Dreaming’ will be on show. ‘The Dreaming’ (published February 2020) is a collection of black and white photographs by Ogawa, shot during his travels throughout Asia over the past 30 years. Ogawa visited China (including Tibet), Myanmar, India, Cambodia and other countries. For the artist, revisiting his negatives felt like reliving an old dream. Publisher Mark Pearson on the body of work: ‘Ogawa’s photographs succeed in a difficult task: capturing the world as otherworldly and fascinating as it can truly be.’
